A film editor since the 1950s, Angelo Ross began his career in the '30s as a club entertainer teamed with Rita Hayworth back when she was still known as "Rita Cansino." Toward the decade's end, he began editing film trailers and editing soundtracks for Universal and Republic. After establishing himself as a film editor, Ross teamed with editor James Gaffney to form their own editing company. After that, he joined Hollywood's Studio Center and began working on both television and films. Ross was nominated for an Oscar for his work on Smokey and the Bandit (1977).
