Actor Michael Stahl-David achieved his career breakthrough in his mid-twenties, during the period of 2007-2008. Stahl-David first attained recognition for his involvement in the critically acclaimed series The Black Donnellys (2007), created by Crash progenitor Paul Haggis, about three young brothers, coming of age in Hell's Kitchen, who slip ever so subtly into organized crime. Unfortunately, that program failed to connect with a sizeable audience, but almost immediately after, Stahl-David transitioned to big-screen work as Rob, one of many unfortunate victims of a giant rampaging beast, in Matt Reeves' much-anticipated horror opus Cloverfield (2008).
