Puerto Rican-born actress Lymari Nadal signed for her first high-profile role as Eva in Ridley Scott's acclaimed period crime saga American Gangster (2007), opposite Russell Crowe and Denzel Washington. For that effort, Nadal and her co-stars netted a Screen Actors Guild nomination for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture.
