Italian actress Jole Silvani made her film debut in Federico Fellini's Lo Sceicco Bianco/The White Sheik (1951). She would work again with Fellini in 1979, when he cast her as a biker in La Città delle Donne/The City of Women. Silvani was born Niobe Quaioti and she started out in vaudeville at age 18. Later in her film career, she worked with such directors as Bernardo Bertolucci and Ottavio Fabbri.
