Born in England, but raised in Los Angeles after the age of seven, actress Jennifer Raine, daughter of British character actor Alan Napier who is best remembered for playing the rock-steady butler Alfred on the television series Batman, got her start playing a juvenile role in The Little Princess (1939). She continued appearing occasionally in films through the '50s. She also played character roles on stage and television. Her son, Brian Forster, was a child actor who played the drummer Chris on the TV sitcom The Partridge Family.
