Though American-born, actress Ilona Ference spent her brief acting career in Great Britain where during the '50s and '60s she appeared in such films as Star of the Night (1954) and Too Young to Love (1960). The daughter of concert violinists Ferenc Hegedus and Kate Buckley, she was raised in various European locales. In addition to her acting career, Ference also wrote teleplays for England's ATV network. She specialized in adapting literature such as Guy de Maupassant's The Necklace to the small screen.
