Peruvian native Jo De La Rosa is best known for her role on the reality series The Real Housewives of Orange County. After emigrating with her mother, father, and brother to California at the age of three, her family won the state lottery and later moved to Mission Viejo. De La Rosa attended UC Irvine and earned a degree in English and comparative literature before getting involved in the title insurance industry, where she met boyfriend Slade Smiley. Living in the prestigious Coto community, the two were featured on the Bravo reality series for the first two seasons, at the end of which they broke up over De La Rosa's refusal to be a traditional, stay-at-home mom. The two continued to appear together, however, starring in the dating show spin-off Date My Ex.
