Biography by AllMovie

A chorus girl at MGM in the late '30s, pert Caren Marsh is best known for the part she played in the production of The Wizard of Oz (1939). As Judy Garland's stand-in, the five-foot brunette spent months on the project, testing the tornado sequence and filling in for Garland during camera setups. She later played one of the girl dancers in Roy Rogers' Hands Across the Border (1944) and was Bob Steele's leading lady in Navajo Kid (1945). The sister of MGM starlet Dorothy Morris, Marsh retired from performing to marry a press agent for entrepreneur Mike Todd.
