A former foreign correspondent associated with the Philippine Free Press in Manila, New York-born writer-producer Barney A. Sarecky entered films as a staff writer with RKO. He was named supervisor of serial production at the newly founded Republic Pictures in 1935, then joined Universal as a unit manager (1936-1940) before becoming an associate producer at Monogram. Always working in the field of low-budget action films and serials, Sarecky later wrote for the syndicated television series Sky King.
