Biography by AllMovie

Classically trained British actress Anna Walton received her dramatic tutelage at the Oxford School of Drama in her native U.K., where she specialized exclusively in theater, essaying roles in productions of such theatrical mainstays as The Cherry Orchard, Picnic, and The Country Wife. Walton then moved into BBC productions following graduation, including Caravaggio and The Forgotten Plot, then branched out into Hollywood productions, where she specialized largely in fantasy and thus remained far removed from her proscenium origins. Assignments included a lead in the 2007 horror saga Vampire Diary (as a beautiful yet enigmatic young woman who claims to be one of the undead), the role of Severian in the sci-fi action yarn The Mutant Chronicles (2008), and a turn as underworld princess Nuada in Guillermo del Toro's comic book fantasy Hellboy II: The Golden Army (2008). Walton also played Susannah in the NBC miniseries Crusoe (2008), adapted from the Daniel Defoe novel.
