Directed by the head of the studio's serial department, Henry McRae, this fanciful chapterplay released by Universal in both sound and silent versions featured veteran leading man Reed Howes in the title-role, the heir to the New York Times. In order to comply with his father's last wishes, Terry must marry before a certain date or forfeit his inheritance. A mysterious criminal known only as the Mystic Mendicants attempts to make sure that this will not happen and so does Terry's villainous uncle (Sheldon Lewis. They both fail and Terry can walk down the aisle in the tenth and final chapter, "A Race for Love," as the new publisher of the Times. Leading man Howes was a former male model advertized as "The Arrow Collar Man." A popular action lead in the silent era, he played mainly supporting roles and bit parts after the changeover to sound.
