Synopsis by Nathan Southern
This tense Hindi-language action opus from director Anand Kumar revisits the violence-ridden streets of West Uttar Pradesh, India, circa the mid-late 1980s. The saga opens in 1986, a point when bloodshed in Pradesh is at an all-time high. The rivalry between two vicious political parties - each one supported by a cruel street gang - threatens to tear the city asunder, the aggressors terrorizing families and individual bystanders. Then history takes a brutal and magnificent turn: in the neighborhood of Zila Ghaziabad, a group of infuriated victims arm themselves and band together to take a stand against the madness.
