World music superstar Youssou N'Dour has played alongside some of the biggest names in the music industry, and now the Dakar native brings his own unique brand of songwriting to the stage in this performance captured live at the 1989 Montreux Music Festival. The first in a series of appearances at the popular music festival, this performance features N'Dour and backing band Le Super Etoil de Dakar as they perform twelve of their best-loved hits. Songs featured in this performance include "Macoy", "The Truth", "Shaking the Tree", and "Nelson Mandela".
