Synopsis by Hal Erickson
En route to Athens, Xena (Lucy Lawless) and Gabrielle (Renee O'Connor) find themselves in the thick of a battle fomented by two rival brothers. The women find shelter for the wounded, including their pregnant Amazon friend Ephiny (Danielle Cormack). In her efforts to cure the casualties in a healing temple and to end the bloodshed, Gabrielle is herself wounded -- perhaps fatally. This final episode of Xena: Warrior Princess' first season included a disclaimed which poked gentle fun at the excessive violence which obviously disturbed the series' American distributors.
