Synopsis by Hal Erickson
In the conclusion of Xena: Warrior Princess' fourth-season opener, Xena (Lucy Lawless) battles evil shamaness Alti (Claire Stansfield) in the hope of freeing the spirits of all deceased Amazons -- including Xena's friend and companion Gabrielle. Though Xena's hopes do not fully come to fruition, she manages to defeat Alti. But with her dying breath, the shamaness torments Xena with a horrific vision of the future (which will, alas, come true in the fourth season's next-to-last episode).
