Synopsis by Hal Erickson
The Morlocks, a fearsome band of underground-dwelling mutants, have captured X-Men Cyclops and Jean Grey. There is nothing for the other X-Men to do but plan a rescue, no matter what the cost. Throughout the mission, however, Wolverine --- still reeling from his previous confrontation with Sabretooth -- is torn between his envy toward Cyclops and his growing fondness for Jean. (Trivia note: The Morlocks were also the subterranean villains in the 1960 sci-fi feature The Time Machine). "Captive Hearts" was originally telecast as episode 5 of X-Men's first season.
