This silly jungle adventure from cult director Jesus Franco concerns an American reporter named Tom Nilson (Thomas Hunter) who takes a charter flight to Rio de Janeiro. One of Tom's fellow passengers tries to hijack the plane, which crashes in the jungle. The rest of the film traces the strange group's interpersonal conflicts and attempts to survive. The stereotypical characters include a crooked banker (Siegfried Schuerenberg) on the run with stolen diamonds, a greedy steward (Fernando Sancho), and a virgin (Gila von Weitershausen) with a dancing teddy bear. Indian encounters and a gunfight with a group of bandits led by a haughty desperado (Howard Vernon) add to the 1930s ambience of the film, an amusing trifle with several truly bizarre moments. Hans Hass, Jr., Esperanza Roy, Paul Muller, and Ewa Stroemberg co-star, while the director appears in a small role.
