Synopsis by Nathan Southern

Linda Helm Krapf directs the documentary Woven Ways. Per its title, the film constitutes a narrative tapestry on the lives, cultures and prospects of the Navajo nation, now estimated at around 300,000 U.S. citizens and populating portions of Utah, Arizona and New Mexico. Krapf interweaves tales from the Native Americans' individual lives with a penetrating probe of the dire environmental issues that now plague the Navajo, including coal mining and uranium mining on the tribe's reservations.
