Synopsis by Bhob Stewart
Wang Shau-di directed this frenetic Taiwanese comedy with a title that translates as "I Must Be Nuts." Depicting contemporary Taipei society of the '90s, the film is broken into four sections -- "Car," "House," "Body," and "Love" -- and features a variety of eccentrics and stereotypes, including a lonely restaurant owner (film director Lin Cheng-sheng), a quirky middle-aged woman (Bai Bing-bing), and a plastic surgeon obsessed with automobiles. Shown at 1997 film festivals (Toronto, Vancouver).
