Synopsis by Hal Erickson

Fannie Ward, a fortyish stage star who always seemed at least twenty years younger on screen, essayed the title role in The Winning of Sally Temple. The story is set in England, sometime during the early 18th century. Sylphlike socialite Sally Temple is ardently pursued by an abundance of titled gentlemen, among them Lord Romsey (Jack Dean), Sir John Gorham (a surprisingly thin Eugene Pallette) and the sinister Duke of Chatto (Walter Long). Before choosing a husband, Sally is subjected to a series of comic misadventures, some of which leave her in varying states of undress. Harvey Thew adapted the screenplay from a novel by Rupert Holland.
