Synopsis by Hal Erickson
The British game show Win Beadle's Money was the spitting image of the American cable-TV series Win Ben Stein's Money. This time around, popular emcee-comedian Jeremy Beadle offered to pay contestants out of his own pocket if they were able to beat him during a Jeopardy-like round of general-knowledge questions. Throughout the game, both Beadle and the "civilian" contestants were mercilessly needled by announcer-moderator Richard Morton. The grand prize was 1,000 pounds, which Beadle retained if he emerged the winner (which didn't happen too often). Win Beadle's Money was first broadcast in 1999.
