Synopsis by Hal Erickson

Coproduced by Cookie Jar Entertainment and Canada's Two Presidents Productions, the weekly prosocial animated series Will & Dewitt was all about a highly creative six-year-old boy and his talking frog--who may or may not have been merely a figment of the boy's imagination. Slightly jealous over the fact that his older brother Fred was allowed to do things that he wasn't, young Will spent his waking hours seeking out thrills and adventure that would set him apart not only from Fred by from his contemporaries. Sometimes these "adventures" consisted of merely learning how to read or dress himself; other times he went off on flights of cartoon fancy that may not have always ended well, but invariably taught him an important life lesson. Sharing Will's exploits was his happy-go-lucky frog DeWitt (a character introduced several years earlier in a well-circulated commercial for a diaper wipe!), who had the ability to morph into other characters and objects when necessary. The other characters were fairly evenly divided between human and non-human: Will and Fred's hero-worshipping three-year-old sister Kate; the kids' loving and supportive parents; a nervous and timid raccoon named Wince; a know-it-all mouse named Zipper, a phlegmatic turtle named Shelly; the amphibian Croak Bottom Boys (Buckley, Brock and Brent), purple bullfrogs who sang Will's praises; Three Kois in a Fountain, a trio of female goldfish with whom the Croak Bottom Boys were in love; and infant frogs Todd Tad and the Tadpoles, Will's biggest fans. Will & DeWitt joined CW's "Kids' WB" Saturday morning lineup on September 22, 2007.
