This Keystone half-reeler is all about a rancher in search of a wife and a husband who'd like to get rid of his spouse. Somehow, the rancher ends up engaged to the unwanted wife, while the husband, for reasons that undoubtedly make sense to him, poses as a Wild, Wild, Westerner. The wife has the last laugh when she returns to her original husband, quickly and violently letting him know who will wear the pants in their household. Fred Mace and Dot Farley play the leading roles. Wife Wanted was originally released on the same bill as Keystone's The Rube and the Baron.
