Synopsis by Janiss Garza

For three years Vera Loudon (Madlaine Traverse) has suffered through a bad marriage with Herbert (William Conklin), a drunken lout. But still she's willing to forgive him. But Herbert couldn't care less -- he's chasing after another man's wife, Alicia Carteret (Claire DuBrey), and even invites her to his anniversary party. Herbert's drunken behavior horrifies everyone there, especially Donald Cavendish (Clyde Fillmore), a former suitor of Vera's. The night after the party, Vera and Donald are on a drive together when a storm forces them to stop at the Loudon's cabin. A few moments later, they spy Herbert drive up with Alicia. Vera and Donald sneak out, but Donald has to go back and he gets in a fistfight with Herbert and knocks him to the floor. Vera herself returns to the cabin and finds Herbert dead. Donald is logically thought to be the guilty party, but he isn't, then it's Vera who's a suspect. Finally Alicia's husband (Henry J. Herbert) confesses to the crime and Vera winds up with Donald -- the man she should have married in the first place.
