Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Most of the contestants on this British TV series were retirees and pensioners -- in other words, older people with plenty of time to "play" with money. Two teams of three players each were afforded one business week (five days) to parlay 1,000 pounds into a fortune. The players were required to "wheel and deal" in a variety of business enterprises in order to achieve their goal. Hosted by Adrian Chiles, Wheeler Dealers aired from 1998 to 1999.
