Synopsis by Perry Seibert

During the 1950s, many films were created that served no purpose other than to instruct teenagers in the ways of better and healthy living. These films dealt with various issues like personal health, atomic war, safe driving, Communism, drugs, and sex. What Were We Thinking?!: From Innocence to Decadence compiles clips from many of these films, making the case that more often than not the films are appealing as kitsch.
