Synopsis by Janiss Garza

This drama starring Adele Farrington is confusing and poorly paced. Lil Magill (Farrington) is a star newspaper reporter and the longtime girlfriend of mine owner Calvert Paige (C. Norman Hammond). Paige, however, is a confirmed bachelor who isn't even interested in having his grown daughter Johnnie (Mina Jeffries) come live with him. He is also a tough and greedy boss, and when he tries to reduce his workers' wages, they vehemently protest. The workers enlist the help of lawyer Brad Hamilton (Kingsley Benedict), who meets and falls in love with Johnnie. The relationship between Paige and Lil isn't going very well, however, and he decides to break things off with her. When Lil sides with the workers, Paige uses his influence to have her fired from the paper. She goes over to his house one night when Johnnie shows up with her aunt. Paige arrives home to find the three women together, and Lil, in a drunken rage, tries to shoot her former lover. But there's even more trouble, as the house is being surrounded by a mob of angry workers. Their leader, Tony (Harry Mann), shoots at Paige, but Lil throws herself in front of him and takes the bullet. She lives, but is bedridden for a long time. Paige realizes that Lil has saved his life, and proposes to her.
