Synopsis by Janiss Garza

When her sweetheart (Gilbert Rooney) starts running around with a bad crowd, Peggy, a shopgirl (Helen Hayes), believes she has fallen for the wealthy George Pratt (Earl Schenck). George's father (Howard Hall) disapproves of the match, and he insists that Peggy come to live with his family for a few months in the belief that his son will soon tire of the girl. Although George does prove to be as fickle as his father hoped, Peggy winds up being an asset to the Pratts. She becomes a wonderful nursemaid to Bessie (Dorothy Benham), the child of Pratt's daughter Estelle (Gladys Alexandria) and Dr. Van Anden (Kenneth Hunter). The Pratts ask her to stay, and when Mr. Pratt's business fails, they all learn that there's more to life than just money. But when Peggy finds out that her former sweetheart has reformed, she leaves the Pratts to reunite with him.
