Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Not to be confused with the long-running British sitcom of the same name, the BBC documentary series Watching examined humankind's love affair with the movies. Various episodes explored how individual films affected different people in different ways, how the "punch" has been used for cinematic purposes, and the aesthetic value of production stills. Thomas Sutcliffe, a familiar Brit-doc personality, served as narrator. Watching began its limited weekly run on November 4, 2000.
