Synopsis by Janiss Garza

When this film was released, the U.S. had only been involved in World War I for a few months, and it seemed like nearly every scenario had to have some sort of war backdrop. Although Ruth (Florence LaBadie) is fiercely loyal to the U.S., the fact that her stepfather, Braun (Tom Brooke), is a spy, casts aspersions on her devotion. This, however, doesn't stop aviator Barker (Wayne Arey) from falling in love with her and marrying her. An unnamed foreign country invades the U.S., and Barker goes off to do service. A group of the invaders make the Barker home their headquarters, but Ruth foils them by planting dynamite in the cellar and sneaking off to Barker and his aeroplane. Their home -- and the invaders -- are blown to bits, and shortly thereafter, the enemy is completely defeated.
