A divorced Canadian television journalist and her friend head for Switzerland in search of the perfect guy (who must possess the charms of the title sculptor's "David") in this lively romantic outing. Once there Kelly meets and falls instantly for the sexy, charming and wealthy art gallery owner Thomas. He returns with her to Toronto where they engage in a passionate affair. Unfortunately, he suddenly returns to Switzerland. Broken-hearted Kelly gets revenge by taking up with writer Jonathan. Soon she is once again in a blissful romantic thrall. Then Thomas abruptly returns, making it plain that he wants to resume their affair. When faced with two good prospects such as Thomas and Jonathan, what's a girl to do?
