This concert film captures Wadada Leo Smith and his bandmates performing their unique style of music that combines old and new elements of jazz. In order to showcase these differences, the filmmakers empty older camera and editing techniques when the band showcases an older style, and they give the film a more modern look and feel during moments when the band breaks into a more updates sound.
