Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Filmed in scenic Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, The Three of Us starred Mabel Taliaferro as pretty mine-owner Rhy MacChesney. In partnership with her two young brothers, Rhy tries to make a go of her little mine, but it's a steadily failing proposition. Out of consideration for her brothers, the heroine makes plans to marry a wealthy young gentleman named Louis Beresford (Irving Cummings). But True Love wins out at the finale, as Rhy remains with her longtime sweetheart Steve (Edwin Carewe), a handsome if not-too-wealthy prospector. Contemporary reviewers felt that the film was too expensive-looking for its own good, especially in the scenes depicting the heroine's "humble" shack.
