Synopsis by Janiss Garza

Billie Burke was perfectly cast as the playful, flirtatious widow who saves her sister's marriage in this light-hearted comedy-drama. Belle Johnson (Burke) heads for Paris for the carnival and finds her sister, Grace (Jane Warrington), is having marital difficulties. Her husband, Frank Morley (Lumsden Hare), has been neglecting her and she has become involved in an affair with Sir Lionel Heathcote (Huntley Gordon). Belle is determined to save the couple's relationship, so she convinces Heathcote to end the romance. Grace, however, still thinks the affair is on, and goes to his apartment. Belle follows her there, and hides her just as Morley arrives. As a result, Morley believes that Belle is involved with Heathcote, which is a disappointment to his brother, Jim Morley (Ward Crane), who was ready to propose to her. Now it's Grace's turn to save Belle's romance, and she confesses all to her husband so that Jim will know that Belle is innocent. This picture was based on the highly successful stage play by Clyde Fitch.
