Synopsis by Janiss Garza

Although Richard Cameron (William Courtenay) is shrouded in mystery, he nevertheless romances and wins Miriam Somerset (Lillian Greuse). Miriam's mother (Cora Mills Adams) would have preferred she wed the wealthy but alcoholic Charles Van Horn (Frank H. Belcher). Cameron leaves on a mission and is captured by spies. Word comes back to Miriam that he is dead, so she marries Van Horn. After a long period of time, Cameron finally escapes and hunts down his wife. When he sees that she has a new life, he breaks his code of secrecy and reveals that he is working for the Secret Service. Van Horn comes in during this, and the two men battle. Cameron is getting the worst of it, so Miriam knocks Van Horn on the head with a plaster statue. The blow kills him, and she and Cameron dash to a departing ship which carries the spy Cameron is pursuing. While he is taking care of the spy, Miriam's brother (William Raymond) is being convicted of Van Horn's murder. Miriam rushes home to clear this up, but when she gets there, she finds that Cameron has already done the job for her, and her brother has been pardoned.
