Synopsis by Hal Erickson

The title of this Kay-Bee production was symbolic: The characters were sucked into the vortex of social disgrace and humiliation for reasons entirely beyond their control. The principal victim is Joan Meredith (Mary Warren), who makes the mistake of visiting a road house and promptly gets mixed up in the romantic travails of four other people. Thanks to the relentless snooping of a private detective, Joan is very nearly forced to marry the villain of the piece (Eugene Burr). Before she can be reunited with her sweetheart (Joe King), she and the other characters are swept up in a nasty Wall Street scandal. One suspects that all problems could have been averted had the characters behaved like responsible adults instead of backward children.
