Synopsis by Janiss Garza

In a moment of temptation, Dick Armitage (Lloyd Hughes) steals from his boss, Walter Haskell (William Conklin). He decides to come clean and writes a confession, but Haskell, a stern taskmaster, insists that the money be returned in three days. To save her brother, Shirley Armitage (Enid Bennett) offers to become Haskell's stenographer so she can earn the money to repay him. He agrees, but then he tries to use his position, and her brother's signed confession, to compromise her virtue. She attempts to get the confession out of the safe where it is secreted away, but Haskell catches her. When his wife (Dorcas Matthews) walks in and sees them together, she decides to use this as grounds for a divorce. Later that night, Haskell is found murdered and Shirley becomes a suspect. She is ultimately able to prove her innocence and unite with Bobbie Baker, the man she really loves (Niles Welch). Director Fred Niblo frequently made films starring his wife Enid Bennett.
