Billed as a "melodrama of the Tennessee hills," this low-budget Aywon release read like a Western and did indeed star cowboy actor Jack Perrin. A stranger, Perrin arrives in a small mountain town where he falls in love with the prettiest girl around (Marjorie Daw). The girl's hillbilly suitors get jealous, and Perrin finds himself framed in a counterfeiting scheme. Virginian Outcast was produced, directed, and possibly scripted by legendary bad filmmaker Robert J. Horner.
