Synopsis by Hans J. Wollstein
This silent melodrama, produced and directed by African-American entrepreneur Oscar Micheaux, was, of all things, an all-black Northwest Mounted Police story. A young Indian from the Southwest (William Fountelle) becomes a Canadian mountie after defeating a notorious gunman. Shingizie Howard, a discovery of Micheaux's, co-starred as the officer's romantic interest. Fountelle later played the faithless lover in King Vidor's Hallelujah.
