Synopsis by Sally Barber

Vietnam: Remember revisits the longest war in American history. The documentary examines two aspects of the Vietnam conflict, the Battle of Khe Sahn and the struggle of American soldiers as they fought the Vietcong in the foreboding Vietnamese environment. The 76-day-long Battle of Khe Sahn, which began on January 21, 1968, during the famed Tet offensive, was one of the bloodiest, most controversial, and pivotal campaigns of the war. A strategic base for six years, in the end, it was surrendered to the enemy. Segment two of the documentary recounts the difficulties and terrors of a squad on assignment in enemy holdings. This film vividly portrays the battle, conflict, and tragic loss of the lives of 58,000 soldiers.
