Synopsis by Alice Day

The Video Visits series of travel films offers some historical and cultural content in addition to the scenic attractions. In Video Visits: Egypt -- Land of Ancient Wonders, the ancient and modern exist side by side. City street scenes in Cairo and Alexandria give the viewer a good indication of what life in urban Egypt can be like. There is footage of the Nile, the pyramids, and the Valley of the Kings. The Alabaster Mosque is the tomb of Mohammed Ali, and is so called because of the use of this material in its construction.
