Video Stockshots, Vol. 28 (1979)
Synopsis
This video collection is strictly for professionals. For the benefit of non-professionals, "stock footage" is, to quote film historian Ephraim Katz, "Existing film footage, previously shot, that is taken from [a] company's archives and incorporated into a new production." Put enough of this footage together and you've got a documentary. The presence of veteran director Jean Yarbrough in the credits of Video Stockshots Vol. 28 indicates that there's a preponderance of black-and-white stock shots. And the word "video" in the title suggests that many of these snippets have been culled from vintage television productions.
