Synopsis by Tracie Cooper

Directed by Miklos Szurdi, Vademberek ("Wild People") chronicles four thirty-something males and their regular trips to an island in the Danube. There is no love lost between the group, but when they discover that a valuable fishing rod they had hidden at the end of the previous trip has gone missing, they band together to implicate a Serb fisherman who is having an affair with one of the town's most beautiful women. Their suspiciouns are based soley on hatred geared towards anyone who isn't Hungarian, and the Serb fisherman (Gyorgy Cserhalmi) is tragically beaten and humiliated. Vademberek) features Gyozo Szabo, Tibor Szakacs, Ivan Kamaras, Laszlo Lippai, and Judit Schell.
