Synopsis by Hans J. Wollstein

Starring elegant silent screen actress Doris Kenyon as a young girl involved with a double murder, this serial was more of a whodunit than the usual action adventure. Told in 15 chapters, The Hidden Hand featured Mahlon Hamilton as a young detective falsely accused of having killed two men, an American millionaire and a European Grand Duke. One of the murder victims is the natural father of lovely Doris Whitney (Kenyon), but which one? The real killer, and the only man alive who knows the truth, is the Hidden Hand, a masked master of plastic surgery whose weapon of choice is what is left of his right upper extremity, a razor-sharp claw. The serial, which was penned by genre specialists Arthur B. Reeve and Charles Goddard, also featured Sheldon Lewis, Arline Pretty, and Henry Sedley.
