Synopsis by Carly Wray

A powerful story of love during the Gulf War, Dawn of the World centers on two young Iraqis -- Mastour (Waleed Abou El Magd) and Zahra (Hafsia Herzi) -- who are separated by the conflict shortly after their wedding. When Mastour is wounded in battle, he sends a fellow soldier to care for his bride; the friend performs the errand, but upon meeting Zahra, falls head over heels for her.
