Synopsis by Mark Deming

Europe's favorite cartoon cowboy makes his way from comic books to the big screen in this animated comedy adventure from France. It's 1855, and Lucky Luke (voice of Lambert Wilson) is a clean-cut cowboy who has decided to try his luck in the big city, moving to New York with his faithful horse Jolly Jumper (voice of Adrien Antoine) and pet dog Rantanplan (voice of Francois Morel). However, when Luke discovers that the villainous Dalton Brothers, led by oldest sibling Avrell (voice of Bernard Alane), have escaped from prison and are launching a crime wave in the Big Apple, he puts his new suit in mothballs and uses the skills he learned on the range to put the brothers in their place. Later, Luke is recruited to lead a group of settlers to California, where tussles with Indians, finds romance with straight-laced schoolmarm Miss Littletown (voice of Dorothee Pousseo) and does battle with unscrupulous real estate man Edgar Crook (voice of Edgar Givry). Tous a l'ouest: une aventure de Lucky Luke (aka Go West! A Lucky Luke Adventure) was directed by Olivier Jean-Marie, who previously created an animated Lucky Luke series for French television.
