Synopsis by Nathan Southern
According to scholars of ancient history, the longstanding mystery surrounding the extinction of the dinosaurs is no longer nearly as elliptical as it once was. Most historians now concur that the beasts of the Paleolithic Era met a nasty end when a massive asteroid struck the Earth - producing fires and tsunamis, causing the temperature of the Earth to plummet to below-freezing levels, and virtually wiping out all supplies of food and water. Horrifyingly, some doomsayer prophets now predict the same fate for homo sapiens; it remains unclear if (and if so, how) mankind could bring itself to adjust to this prospective calamity. The speculative documentary Super Comet: After the Impact concurrently explores the various possibilities and pays homage to the ability of humans to adapt to the direst of circumstances.
