Two longtime friends are forced to clash swords while fighting for opposing clans in director Kazuo Mori's thrilling take on the tale of the 47 Ronin. Nakayama Yasubei (Shinataro Katsu) was preparing for the duel that would define his life when he crossed paths with ambitious Shogunate official Tangé Tenzen (Raizo Ichikawa), and in no time the men would became fast friends. Even their mutual love for a beautiful woman wasn't enough to tear the two men apart, but when Yasubei and the famed 47 Ronin target the nefarious Lord Kira, Tenzen vows to uphold his oath to protect Kira at all costs, even if it means driving a sword through the heart of his closest ally.
