Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Heuvelman's Lake in Georgia is the unlikely scene of several mysterious deaths. Called in to investigate, FBI agents Mulder and Scully gather evidence that indicates that the "perpetrator" is a mythical Nessie-style sea serpent. But, as is often the case, Scully is hesitant to come to the obvious conclusion. A stern pro-ecological warning caps the May 3, 1996, X-Files episode "Quagmire," which was written by Kim Newton.
