The small Midwestern town of Comity has been plagued by a series of bizarre deaths. This earthbound phenomenon appears to be tied in with a once-in-a-generation alignment of the planets. Mulder and Scully try to solve the mystery with the reluctant help of two high-school girls (Lisa Robin Kelly and Wendy Benson-Landes), both born on the same day. Written by X-Files creator Chris Carter, "Syzygy" first aired January 26, 1996.
